Back in April, Google opened Small World, a curious pop-up restaurant in NYC. Manning the kitchen were celebrity chefs including Mission Chinese's Danny Bowien, Balaboosta's Eina Admony and The Cecil's JJ Johnson. But, there was one catch: diners could only order their food using Google Translate.
The m ss ng p eces company conceived both the event and this film capturing the experience, which shows people enjoying the restaurant's array of cuisine from all around the world, but only after using Google Translate to translate the multi-language menus.
The short film documenting the restaurant's run, "#EveryoneSpeaksFood," was directed by Josh Nussbaum.
